What's a good camping tent?

I see these cheap tents,and it's like these people have no clue what's in store for them if it rains.Yea,it might keep the bugs out,but that's all it's going to keep out.

They have such a large variety to choose from.From ultra light back packing tents,to large family sized tents that have enough room for an army.We all have our own idea what camping is,and Eureka covers all the ground from no matter what kind of camping you're doing.

In my opinion,being that I'm an older fart now,and have learned from 100's of trips out under the stars,that a tent with a little extra room is a must,even for you young folks.A tent is also used as a storage area for our cloths,and items that we really want to keep out of the rain,or the weather.Even the sun for that matter can wear things out.

I know we try to go as perfect as we can when heading out into the bush,but one luxory is your shelter,and don't hold back on that.Having a castle out there in the woods makes a trip so much better.Who wants to sleep ina coffin sized tent?It gets hot,no room to move around,and what if you have gear you want to stay dry?

It's easier bringing it in the tent,instead of bringing a tarp with to make a supply shelter.Just go with a tad larger sized tent.You won't be sorry you did.

This Eureka Copper Canyon tent is easy to assemble and the easiest cabin tent that I've ever put up.It may cost a few bucks more than the cheep k-mart special,but these last a life time.They also keep the rain out,and are made with better quality material. 

Tents like the Eureka Copper Canyon are family tents.They are no backpacking or portaging tents one would use in the BWCA.Tents like these are for camping close to the vehicle.

My wife & I used  a queen size double decker blowup mattress and had plenty of room extra.It's great if you're a tall guy too.I'm 6"3 and I love it.

Setting up this tent as I said is a breeze.

I bought this tent several years ago.Maybe 12 years ago to be exact.

I've used it more than 150 times and it's still in great shape,and I'll get many more years out of it.

I take care of my gear,so if you take cae of this Eureka Timberline it could very well last you a life time.

Eureka still makes parts for this long-running model.It's a tent that's loved by many.So it's a good tent that you know will be around many years to come.I don't think they will ever stop selling the Eureka Timberline models.

The Boy Scouts use these tents and many Ely Outfitters recommend these tents to their clients.

This is a GREAT GREAT Quality tent.If you take care of this tent it will last a life time.

I have an older models screen eureka tent.Once I upgrade this is the screen tent I'm going to get.I love the tarp aka awning tarp that comes with it.I used regular tarps for the one I have now.It sure would be nice to have a rain fly that was specifically designed for the tent.That's why this model is so unique.It's a base station to keep you out of the bugs,out of the rain & wind.

If you're looking for the the most heavy duty screen tent that's out there today.Here it is.It's a Eureka Screen Tent that's called the Hexagon.It's a five sided screent tent that can hadle stronger winds than you're average 4 wall'ed screen tents.

They have been making this model for at least 24 years.The one I have is 22 years old,and it's been through everything.

These screen tents are so strong,that I tarped mine off and even used this puppy winter camping at least a 100 times.

The frame is STRONG.So if you set up tents where you know there is always the potential for strong wind.Then this Eureka Screen Tent is for you.

Eureka Screen Tents are so nice,and make a camping trip all that much better.When the bugs are bad,there is at least a place large enough the whole family can retreat to.

Bring a tarp and some cloths pins along,and this screen tents also make great shelter for rainy weather,instead of everyone retreating to there tents.

I cook in mine also,and set up a table for the cooking stove.I love cooking where a pesky fly,or some other kind of bug comes along to investigate,and can't bother me or land on my food.

It's a great addition to you camping gear,and well worth the investment.

A friend of mine has this model,and every year it does the same great job keeping him warm,and dry.It's a great 3 season tent,and can hadle the cool weather easily,and has great vetilation for the hot days as well.

Eureka Tetragon tents are reputable,and the Eureka name stands for itself.This is a great tent.

This is a 9 person tent,and is an excellent Eureka family tent,no matter what type of weather you may be camping in.It's 16 X 19 Feet..(HUGE).

There are only 4 poles to this tent,and it's so easy to set up.

I seam sealed the seams on this tent,before I slept in it.Get a little bottle of seam sealer,and go over the stitching..All tents should do this,it will keep your tent 100% dry even in a huricane.

Anyways,it rained 5 inches that night,and did not get one drop in my tent.So use seam sealer no matter what kinda tent you get,it's amazing stuff.Most campers should know this,but many do not..(laughing)

I'd recommend this tent to anyone,and especially someone who wants a tons of room in there tent.When it comes to the best family tents.I'd recommend the Eureka Tetragon.

Eureka Titan - Two Room Tents

The Eureka two room tents amaze me.I checked out this model at a neighbors house in great detail,after he set it up in his back yard.Set up was easy,but what amazed me most was the quality of this tent.

The above ground tie downs make this tent extra secure during high winds.It's waterproof,and no matter how hard the rain is blowing,it'll stay outside where it's suppose to be.

This is a great family tent as well,and kids just love having there own room.They play around in there at night,and it almost made me regret buying a two room tent.Things get out of hand,when ya can't keep an eye on them.Otherwise this is an awesome family tent.No complaints what so ever!!

This is almost a 14 X 10 foot tent..take 1/2 foot off.It's huge,and I assure you,that there will be more than enough room for you,and your family.You can also rest easy at night if it's raining.This tent repels water better than my mother's umbrella.

The Eureka Titan is a tent that will last you a life time,if you take good care of it.A good investment for your family,and many years of enjoyment.

Eureka Timberline Outfitter

This is a model used by alot of outfitters in Northern Minnesota,and also recommended by the Boy Scouts.

You can stand in it,it's heavy duty,and I've spent many nights in these things while exploring Northen Minnesota.

These tents are awesome,and the Eureka Timberline Outfitter tent won't let ya down.They are virtually rain proof,and can put up with years of use.

Take good care of it,and it may last you a life time.This is a Eureka 6 man tent..but I'd only use it for 4 people at the most.A person needs extra space for their gear.

As with any tent,I've never used any using full capicity,or what they recommend for sleeping.Anyways,the Eureka Timberline is a tent that won't let ya down.Rain proof,plenty of room,and has pretty much been all over the world,and come highly recommended.A great tent,for a great price.

Eureka Copper Canyon 1610 - Attached Screen Tent

We use this model for our base camp tent.It's where all of us gather,and sit on our chairs,and enjoy the weather no matter what mother nature is throwing at us.

It has an attached screen tent to it,and just love that feature.We use it for festivals also,or for company when they come over.We set it up in the back yard,and they have a palace to sleep in.We even run an extention cord out to them.This is the hotels of tents.

The Eureka Copper Canyon 1610 tent is the most popular model,out of all the other Copper Canyons.

Super rain proof like no other model,and heavy duty zippers.This thing is a durable.

The best way to descibe this tent is SUPER COOL!!

We cook,sleep,and lounge in this tent.

If ya camp for a few days,sometimes it can rain the whole trip.Well with this tent you wont get rained out.You can at least set up your cook stove,and laugh with the ones you're with,that you're at least staying dry,and out of the wind.So if you've ever been on trip where ya have to stay in your tent the whole time,well this is the tent to do it in..:)

The Eureka Copper Canyon is a family tent.It's a base camp tent,an a tent you can use for whatever occasion is thrown at you.

5 stars all the way for this tent.It's the best.

Eureka Pine Lodge Tent

This is one of the best tents I've ever stayed in,when it comes to strength,durability,and plenty of moving around room.

The only con about this one,is the fan door.Some people love it,and some people it's an issue.

With myself it is an issue,because I don't like easy access incase a mouse,or some other critter decides to come spend the night with me.

EASY SOLUTION..with the fan door.

Go to a local fabric store and get 60 inches of 2 inch wide industrial strength velcro.Run the Velcro along the bottom of the fan door and the bottom of the tent.That's it.

It's a catch 22,because the fan door is made purposely this way,for easy access for little kids to get in,and out on there own,and for pets.

It's a great family tent,and worth every penny.A few bucks for the velcro,and you can secure the tent as well.

My neighbor uses this one,and absolutely loves it for his family.The Eureka Pine Lodge Tents are a 5 star in my book.You won't be dissapointed with this tent.

It's also waterproof,and can take on 7 day rainy spells without a problem.

Quality,and dependability all the way.

Eureka Alpenlite Tent - 2 Person Tents

This model by Eureka has had the best reviews from those who tested it in the field.It's a 4 season camping tent that can even be used in the harshest conditions of winter.and is great to use in the summer.It breaths great,holds the heat,and you can't find a better packpacking tent on the market.

This tent can be used on expeditions,and I'm sure the explorers from long ago,would have loved to have one of these things.

It's rated as a 2 person tent,but then it don't leave much room for gear.Most who use this model go solo with it.It's perfect for one person,and camping in the winter is like sleeping in a palace with this thing.

The Eureka Alpenlite tent has been used in the Artic,and in the North Pole.It's one of the most popular tents used in Canada also.

This is a Eureka 4 season tent that won't let ya down,and they mean it.Winter camping is a serious job,and the last thing you want is to be using a cheap 2 person tent.

4 seasons tents are built more durable.These things last for ever if taken care of.

This tent is worth every penny,and it's one of my prized posessions.

If using this one in the summer,try to make sure ya set this one up in the shade.It gots great ventilation,but the color attracts the sunlight,and that's a plus side for using it in the winter.

This is one of the best investments when it comes to my camping gear.You can't go wrong with Eureka 4 Season Tents.This model is the Eureka Alpenlite.You won't be disspaointed with it.

Eureka BackCountry Tent - 1 Person Tents

The Eureka Backcountry 1 Person tent is great for solo camping.A friend of mine using this model for his bike camping when he travels the state on his bicycle.

It's the best one man tent on the market,and it's made by Eureka.You can't get a better tent when it comes to ultra-light weight.It packs up great also,and don't take much more room than a coat.

It also does GREAT in bad weather,and can handle the rain like no other backpacking tent I've used.Windproof,and weatherproof this model wont let ya down.

Eureka 1 person tents are also made for the military,so that gives ya a clue how durable,and dependable these tents are.

The Eureka Backcountry tent comes highly recommended for those who travel light,but need something quality to face the enviroment you're in.
